Passing the Instructor Exam is perhaps the No. 1 thing prospective interns worry about most. That’s why, at Aquanauts, we’re so confident in our Personalized Training System that we put our money where our mouths are and make this pledge to you:

We guarantee you’ll pass the PADI Instructor Exam on your first attempt or we’ll pay for you to take the exam again.

Just how big a deal is this? Well, the Instructor Exam enrollment fee is US$485 and even retaking one segment of the three-segment exam costs $195. Should the unthinkable happen, our gurantee at least eliminates the financial sting of not passing the IE.

Few people ever face that situation at Aquanauts, which has nearly a 98% pass rate for the past six years. On average, only one Aquanauts student a year – a tiny fraction of our overall student base -- has failed one part of the three part IE in that time. And all of those passed the following exam. (If you’d like to know why each student failed, feel free to contact us. You’d be surprised how many can be attributed to nerves or just simple mistakes.)

The Fine Print

As with any guarantee, there are details and conditions. So here’s the “fine print” on our offer.

To qualify for our 100% IE Pass Guarantee, you must:

• Enroll in a standard-length Aquanauts Diving Instructor Training internship of 2-6 months. If you choose to shorten the program (i.e. take the IE in month 3 of a 4-month program) the guarantee does not apply.
• Participate in our three-day IDC Preparation Course and attend all 10 days of the IDC itself.
• There are cases where you may pass the IDC but our two Course Directors advise that you not go to the Instructor Exam until you improve your skills or knowledge development in certain areas. If you choose to take the IE against our advice, the guarantee does not apply.
• Participate and make a good-faith effort to successfully pass all four segments of your instructor exam, even if you fail one part.

Should the unthinkable happen and you do fail one or more parts of the IE, you must comply with the following conditions to qualify for the guarantee.

• You must take the next PADI Instructor Exam scheduled for Pattaya. You cannot re-take the exam elsewhere.
• You must attend all or any part of a second prep course and full IDC recommended by our Course Directors. But don’t’ worry: There is no charge for either course!
• You are, however, responsible for any additional costs for accommodations and non-course diving.
• You must follow the post-IDC advice of the Course Directors as to whether you should attend the IE.
• The guarantee covers only the cost of one Instructor Exam. If you fail a second time, there is no guarantee.
• This offer has no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash or store credit and is non-transferable.
