Aquanauts Dive Centre extended string of perfection at the PADI Instructor Exams with four Diving Instructor Training program interns passing their IEs in May 2008.
Congratulations go out to (in the photo from right), Grant Cauley, Michael Randle, Ashleigh Hayter and Connor Quinn.
Aquanauts now is the only instructor training center in Central Thailand with a 100% pass rate for 2008 and has the highest pass rate of any center for the past two years.
"I was very impressed with the training provided and in the end did quite well on my Instructor Exam because of the high standards set by the Aquanauts staff," Cauley wrote in an entry for Aquanauts Internship Blog.
As usual, all the grads took different routes to becoming instructors. American Cauley and Englishman Quinn both came to Aquanauts as uncertified divers and did the full six-month program. Randle, who originally only thought of becoming a Divemaster, struggled on his first attempt at the IDC but perservered and, in the end, posted the best scores of the four. Hayter, only 19, was supposed to have been joined in the program by her parents, but ended up marching on to instructor on her own.
As what has become the norm at Aquanauts, all the IDCs and IEs with near-perfect scores. The course was run by Course Director Roger Smith, Master Instructor Gary Tytler and IDC Staff Instructor Sally Rathbone.
